Ann - Our New Acupuncturist

Introducing Ann Heitman, our new acupuncturist at The Healing Rooms.

Ann grew up on the family farm at Mingenew near Geraldton.  After finishing high school in Perth she lived in Japan for 12 month as a Rotary Exchange Student.  It was here that her love for the Japanese culture and acupuncture commenced.

Ann has completed several training courses in the less painful and less invasive Master Nagano’s Japanese style of acupuncture and now continues to practise this style.  She has also trained in Shonishin a Japanese style of paediatric acupuncture where no needles are used and nothing actually penetrates the skin.

Ann holds a bachelor’s degree in acupuncture, and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).  Ann completed her acupuncture degree at Endeavour College in Perth where she studied the various aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine including acupuncture, cupping, guasha, tuina (massage) and patent herbs.
