Karen Chin - Kinesiologist

Karen with shadowAreas of Expertise - General Kinesiology, Adrenal & Thyroid Issues, Learning Difficulties & Behavioural Issues.

Karen holds an Advanced Diploma in Kinesiology.  She studied at the O'Neill Kinesiology College in Perth and has further participated in LEAP (Learning Enhancement Acupressure Program) training.  LEAP is a set of protocols designed to assist learning enhancement and behavioural issues.

Karen is a caring, empathetic person who is extremely passionate about helping people make positive changes to improve their health and wellbeing.  Along with general Kinesiology practices, Karen’s area of expertise is working with the endocrine system specifically addressing adrenal, thyroid and reproductive hormone imbalances.  In today’s fast paced society many struggle with additional stressors and responsibilities leading to experiences of anxiety, fatigue, sleep issues, PMT, thyroid issues and a cascade of hormonal imbalances.  All of these symptoms can be addressed using non-invasive Kinesiology techniques and protocols.

As a mother of 3 children Karen has developed a deeper passion for working with learning difficulties and behavioural issues all which can lead to low self-esteem.  Kinesiology practices can best assist children in reducing anxiety and stress on learning processes and pathways allowing for improvement in memory recall.

Karen's goal is to assist others in restoring a natural state of health by reducing stress at the physical, emotional and mental levels.  She is dedicated to empowering others towards better health and a better quality of life.

Karen is an Accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.

Fascinating Fascia

By Reinette Nel.

Fascia is the new buzz word.  For ages we have been cutting away the fascia to get to the more important aspects in the human body like the muscles, bones and organs not knowing or realising that what has been discarded was in fact the largest sense organ within the body.

Fascia is everywhere in the body.  It surrounds and forms an intricate network within every structure.  It is a strong, flexible support system,  the most richly innervated tissue in the body, with a very high density of sensory nerves that help our nervous system orient to our surroundings.

It’s like a smooth and slippery web of connective tissue that attaches, stabilises, encloses and separates.  It is the stuff that holds us together otherwise we would just be a puddle on the floor, almost like jelly.  If you can make everything else in the body disappear (except fascia), you would look like a big piece of candyfloss.

There will be many people, places, things which can seem insignificant but may also be alluring and oh so ready to jump in and take you off your path of wiser knowing.  There are many little ways these events can take you away from what may make your heart alight with joy.

Your Best Interests at Heart

by Jen Taylor.

What is it that bothers you?  A problem or issue that could really be worthy of attention.  Something which feels annoying or is even more compelling and having a destructive effect on your health or relationships?  Perhaps it comes as a quiet whisper or a deeper nagging feeling?  Have you been tucking it away, seeing if it could magically disappear?  Hoping that tomorrow will be the day and yet, as each day evolves, the problem and the discomfort is still there.
